Hydro Dynamics Presented in South Carolina by Atlas Technologies, Inc.Join us as we celebrate the FIRST LEGO League Hydro Dynamics season presented in South Carolina by Atlas Technologies, Inc. All South Carolina FIRST LEGO League events are open to the public and free to attend. Everyone is welcome to explore the tournament pits where teams display their research Projects and demonstrate their Core Values. Spectators are sure to enjoy the thrill and excitement of the Robot Game where teams compete to score the highest points using LEGO built robots to solve intricate missions. It’s sure to be a fun filled day!

VOLUNTEERING:  All South Carolina FIRST LEGO League events are completely ran  by volunteers. Everyone from the check-in staff, the Robot Game queuers, the referees, the judges, on up to the tournament directors volunteer their time. Anybody can make a great volunteer. Volunteers do not need to be an expert in everything FIRST LEGO League. If you’re interested in lending a helping hand, head over to the Volunteering page.

PARTICIPATING TEAMS

The Cherokee Qualifying Tournament will host 24 teams. Teams must be ranked in the top 10 Robot Game scores to be considered for Champion’s Award. The top 7 teams will advance based on their average ranking by the Judges in Core Values, Project and Robot Design, and must finish ranked in the top 18 (actual number, not percentage) Robot Game scores at the event.

The top thirty percent of the registered teams advance to the state championship. Teams listed in bold advanced to the West State Championship on January 27, 2018 at Riverside High School. A complete description of each award is found on the Tournament Awards page.

EVENT FEE:  $50 + $3 processing fee for any credit card payments

EVENT PAYMENT METHOD:  The event is now at capacity. No More teams can be added.

REQUIRED PAPERWORK: Team Roster and three copies of a Team Information Sheet (pdf, Word)
